The NGCA Athletic Department would like to congratulate senior Lady Knights basketball player Payton Beaver. At the State Basketball Tournament on February 17th, Payton was selected by the Georgia Christian Athletic Association (GCAA) as the recipient of the Miss Basketball Award.
The purpose and qualifications for this award are to recognize student athletes that excel in academics, athletics and Christian character. The recognition is the highest honor bestowed on a GCAA student athlete in their respective sport.
To be considered for this award, Payton had to nominated by the athletic director and turn in letters of recommendation, her high school transcript, her work in her church and she had an interview with the GCAA Athletic Committee.
We are so incredibly proud of Payton for this accomplishment and for being such a light in this world! Congratulations Payton!!
